Chris Johnston grew up in Orion, IL where he found his love for farming as well as the outdoors. Hunting with his dad, starting at the age of 8, he developed his own unique style of hunting which he passes on to his children today. After graduating from Orion High School, he made his way to the Illinois Welding School and graduated in 2007. He currently works for United Construction as a Pipefitter Foreman.
After a long day on the job site, Chris can be found prepping for his next hunt. His knowledge of farming has made him an expert on food plotting, and testing soils for maximum growth potential at the best stage of the hunting season. Chris’s bow is his weapon of choice and he can be found hunting whitetails all over Mercer County and often travels to fulfill his love of hunting mule deer.
Chris lives in Viola, IL with his wife Jaimie, and his two son’s Lane and Tucker.
