SHAWN HERMAN

Hailing from Viola, IL Shawn “Herm Daddy” Herman grew up splitting time between the playing field and the timber as a standout soccer player in his younger years, and finally being named a starter on the varsity soccer team as just a freshman at Sherrard High School.  Shawn’s love for the outdoors was instilled in him by his father at a young age.  Starting at the age of 6, Shawn and his father could be found roaming the timbers of Mercer County hunting for rabbit, squirrel, and raccoon, and in later years’ deer.

Besides being the owner of Bone White Taxidermy, Shawn is a full-time Pump Tech at JC Cross in Davenport, IA, making some of the most sophisticated pumps for today’s industrial companies worldwide.  When Shawn is not working, he can be found with his bow hanging next to him, whether it be in the stand or at a range, Shawn has become one of the area’s top archers and is well respected for not only his personal demeanor and sense of humor, but his knowledge of his craft and willingness to help others at any time.

Shawn married his high school sweetheart Gina in 2003, and they have a daughter Zoey.
